WI Bear Hunting Harvest tag required

Thank for your interest in hunting with us.  We are located in Northern Wisconsin close to the town of Washburn.   Wisconsin Bear Hunts are done on a "Draw System".  Visit the Wisconsin DNR website for more info and to apply @ gowild.wi.gov.  It usually took 5-6 years to draw a Harvest tag,  HOWEVER, with the new zones , now we are in Zone A it is currently at 9 years plus The amount of time can change from year to year. You must have a Zone A Harvest Tag to Hunt with us .

With the limited amount of tags  available each year, this has enabled many bear to get to trophy size.

ALL HUNTS / PRICING IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS- NO EXCEPTIONS

Our hunts are 5 consecutive days  Starting on Opening day of our Bear season, which always starts on a Wednesday.  Hunters arrive early Monday or early Tuesday, so we can show stands, go over hunt details.  We have a "potluck"  cookout Tuesday evening.  Hunters are asked to bring a side dish.  Ask for details.    12-20 Hunters max per season., depending on repeat/referals.   if you do not harvest a Bear during the 5  day period, you may return the last week of the season, just cover the cost of baiting, gas , labor etc.  since baiting will have to be continued  until you return.   (Additional cost of $595 total per hunter, 2  full hunting days, payed prior to hunting )   .  You can also add days to the 5 day hunt, consecutive @ $300 per day.   Payed before you go into the woods. ^SCEN T CONTROL IS A MUST WHILE HUNTING TROPHY BEAR,   To help with success rate, we utilize a majority of Ground Blinds,   it helps is scent control , conceals  all movement.  plus keeps hunters out of the  elements , wind / rain.   Bowhunters can bring your own stand. 

We run up to 40 bait sights depending , so we do have secondary/ back up bait sites if needed. 

All BAITS ARE MONITORED BY TRAIL CAMS OR CELL CAMS, HUNTERS WILL BE PLACED AT OUR DISCRETION BASED ON THE BEST CHANCE TO HARVEST A TROPHY BEAR , HUNTER ABILITY ETC

Food & Lodging / Camping is not included but available nearby.  Prior to your  hunt we ll send you a checklist with Motels, Campgrounds .  Camping is available next to Lake Superior, Electric- Hot Showers for around $30 per night $180 for the week on a first come first served basis

You may hunt with a Rifle, Muzzleloader, or bow when hunting with us, No Pistol.   Rifle stands are usually set 35 -45 yards on average  from our our baits.  Bow is 15-25 yards.  Please practice a lot , during  low light shooting as a a lot of  most  Bear action usually takes place just prior to dark

If you wound a bear , we'll make every effort to retrieve it,.  If we can not recover it, you can hunt that same stand.  If you wound Bear another your hunt is over.

All Bears once harvested, the hunter must tear his authorization tag, then register it with the Wisconsin DNR on the go-wild website,   We are in Zone A, Game management unit 3, Bayfield  county. 2 teeth must be pulled and submitted to the Wisconsin DNR with the brown envelope provided from the Wisconsin  DNR.  This is the Hunters Responsibility.  Please read over the DNR Bear hunting regulations .  We will  be happy to answer any questions for you or  we ll  get you an answer from the proper authorities if needed.  You are responsible for your own actions.  

There is a $350  non refundable deposit to current or Future years ,  1/2 half down June 1st, remaining balance due Aug 1st ( the year you put deposit down)  to hold the pricing.    IF you do not draw a permit all money received will be used when you do draw, your price locked in.  We ll send you a confirmation when money received..   When paying with a credit card, add 3.5 percent

CURRENTLY SEMI GUIDED HUNTS ARE $2195 (5 Hunting  days (consecutive) when the hunter arrives

*Semi guided hunts, everything is set when the Hunter Arrives, , Pre-baited bait site- blind/stand(s) set once your famiilar with your stand, hunter takes himself or herself into the stand,   We'll retreive the harvested bear for youl.  assist with field care.  Cell reception can be poor in areas, when you harvest your bear we will get it out of the woods for you .
